EMPLOYMENT EQUITY ACT.
This states that 2% of the workforce must be persons with a disability. Placement of persons with disabilities in the open labor market can benefit the business as well as the community. Thus, businesses can be compliant with the Act by working in conjunction with the organizations employment programme.
JOB SUPPORT AND COACHING AT NO COST TO COMPANY
Mental Health Care Users (MHCU’s) placed in the open labor market, via the programme, are monitored and assisted by trained personnel who help them adjust to the work environment, thereby saving any effort from the business itself. This support to both the employer and employee is ongoing.
PACKAGING AND ASSEMBLY WORK
Packaging and assembly work is done on a contract basis and done at the protective workshops.
